Fundraiser

Some very generous supporters of Mason recently set up a fundraiser for his surgery expenses - thank you!  They set the goal to cover half of Mason's deductible/out of pocket portion through our insurance ($7,000 as of right now is what we are being told is our max out of pocket annual expense, but we have received notice that our current insurance plan isn't honored under Obamacare.  So, we are not sure what we will be responsible for.) Since some of you have contacted me to ask if one was in place, I figured I should go ahead and post the link here.  Mason's Fundraiser Link  ( www.youcaring.com/medical-fundraiser/mason-s-craniosynostosis-journey/114766 )

Thank you all for the continued thoughts and prayers.  We are getting everything ready for the big day, and of course are very nervous.  Thank you for your support!

  2. Hi Baylee,
My son was also diagnosed with saggital Craniosynostosis at 4 mos. old back in June 2011 and had cranial vault reconstruction surgery that August. I know the heartache you are feeling as the surgery is so near. Nothing like the anticipation of it. I feel like the time leading up to the surgery and the waiting during surgery is the worst part. I was so worried about the fasting part beforehand and prayed so much about and God totally answered that prayer and my little guy handled it like a champ. God cares about all of the details or the whole thing and about your Mommy heart. God and your little Mason will amaze you! My son Jireh was acting back to his normal self (head was just sensitive) 12-14 days after surgery. My little guy is almost 3 and is doing awesome! people would never know he had the surgery. I never saw more of the presence of God and the provision of God in my life than during that time! This song was comforting during that time, so I thought I'd share. http://youtu.be/hxFyX29pZnI
If you'd like to see pictures of our before and after or just have someone to talk to that has been through it please feel free to contact me. I didn't know about the facebook group and hadn't heard of anyone at the time who had been through it. I would have loved to have someone to talk to about it all. My e-mail is clg04c@acu.edu Blessings on your day and night leading up to the surgery and I will be praying for you guys and especially Little Mason that all will go smoothly! ~Cara Lee
